The time has come to pee off the bridge
Drank too much tea in Uji is what I did
The river below is cold and grim
But not as cold and grim as the body in it
Unbeknownst to me a body beneath my pee
The cadaver is struck by my falling yellow stream
The dead man floats along silently
Uncaring waters, water carrying

Drifting dead body struck by my pee
Mixing in the water because I drank too much tea
The man is dead by his own hand
His soul is free from this mortal land
Released from this realm by suicide
To drift with water and pee after he’s died

I now realize I’m peeing on a dead guy
Adrift on the river beneath the night sky
I look around to make sure nobody sees
That upon a dead body I have just peed

The ghost above is not displeased
He knows it was an accident that upon him I peed
The fault of green tea in the city of Uji
He does not place a curse upon me
The corpse floats away as does the released soul
I feel relief for his peace and that my bladder isn’t full
The night is young for the living and deceased
But I better run now because I see the police
