Their deaths reversed by vile spirits replaced
Seeped up through the cracks from the realm of shades
The flesh rejoins grotesque bodies remade
Bubbling up from a soup of flesh
Alien hive mind controlling the mess
Taking new shape, living in death
Manipulating madness, horrid excess
Insect mandibles on human heads
Compound eyes bleeding red

They bathe in a lake of the blood of their god
Absorbing the curse that their veins pump along
Mutated and eternal, the village is doomed
As they set to build a hive for the brood
The ritual is not yet complete
The required artefacts have gone missing
Ancient alien pining for the sacrifice
The cycle is broken, the dead finally die
